It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Gwen (Sim) Stevens (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), who passed away on May 14, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parent Manola Sim (Starratt); her husband Ellis "Jim" Stevens; her son Mark Stevens; her grandson Jeffrey Stevens; her sisters, Lorna Sanford (late Frank), Marie Gaudet and Alta Scopie (late Don); her brother-in-law Ben McKay; her children, David Stevens (Sandy) and Donna Pyne Dartmouth; her daughter-in-law Angela Stevens Eastern Passage; her grandchildren, Denise Stevens, Joanna Budair (Kareem), Jennifer Pyne (Bill Carlson), Justin Pyne (Jordyn Hauber), Edmonton, Chloe Stevens Halifax, Courtney Stevens and Christopher Stevens; her great grandchildren, Jayden Stevens, Lexie Stevens Dartmouth, Alia, Adam Budair of Abu Dhabi, UAE and Jude Carlson-Pyne; her sisters, Sandra Zwaan (Ep), Joanne McClair (Arnie) and Debbie McKay Elmsdale (late Ben); and her sister-in-law Donna Stevens Bridgewater. She was also cherished by cousins, nieces and nephews.
Our family would like to express our deepest appreciation to all the caregivers at Northwood who helped her survive COVID; who courageously came to work each day, sometimes getting sick themselves but carrying on.
