She was predeceased by: her parents, Edgar Nichols and Eleanor Nichols. She is survived by: her husband John; her children, John, Shawn (Rose) and Cheryl; her grandchildren, Aaron, Marley, Maggie and Kristen; her sisters, Jessie, Effie and Amy; and also Elliott. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
