She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Austin Henderson and Vera Henderson; her husband Jack; her sister Norma Cooke of Isaac's Harbour; her sons, James Hirtle (Crystal Thorburn) of Dartmouth and Michael Hirtle (Donna Brekker) of Dartmouth; and also, Deborah Murray (Dennis Doucette) of Dartmouth and Sandra Pirie (Ned) of Ottawa. She was also cherished by her seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
