Joan Vallis Obituary

The memory of Joan Vallis (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), who passed away on February 23, 2026 at the age of 91, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gilbert Cake and Emily Cake (Foote); her parents-in-law, Garfield and Elsie Vallis; her siblings, George (Edna) and Stella (Jack Elfred); and her stepfather Linus Green.

She is survived by: her husband Leonard Vallis of Coombs Cove; her family, Lamaline and Conception Bay South; her granddaughters, Brianna Vallis and Jessica Borden; her son-in-law Bob Borden; her siblings-in-law, Maisie (Reg), Mae, Mona (Matt) and Alfred Crews; her children, Cheryl, Greg (Sherry) and Darryl (Jennifer); her grandchildren, Robert (Shelby), Taylor Borden, Brent, Colby Vallis, Corey and Ryan Vallis; her great grandchildren, Lincoln and Dallas Borden; her sisters, Ruth Crews and Barbara Rideout (Merv); and her caregivers, Helen, Janeen and Karen.

A funeral service was held on Monday, March 2nd 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Anglican Church (3 Dakin Dr, Halifax, NS B3M2C9).
