With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joanne Margaret James of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 19, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, James Lahey and Vinetta Lahey; and her siblings, Jack, Richard, Clifford, Jim, Donald, Ethel Falco, Lillian Wilkinson, Grace Muise, Dorothy Shunahan and Geraldine Lahey.

She is survived by: her children, John, Tony (Tracy) and Cindy (Corey Busby); her grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Jonathan and Aaron James; her brother Ted Lahey; her sisters-in-law, Melody Leahy and Georgina Lahey; and her close friend Nancy Manuel (Bill).
