It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Daniel Pettigrew of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, who passed away on September 16, 2023, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Pettigrew and Margaret Pettigrew (Née Pettis); his sister Diann Quigley; and his brothers-in-law, Kenneth Ferris, Douglas Manzer and Thomas Belliveau.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Pettigrew; his siblings, Shirley, Harold, Elizabeth (Betty) and George; his children, Mark, Catherine and Andrea; his grandchildren, Emily (Nathaniel), Rowan (Victoria), Nevan and Abe; and his great grandchildren, Molly and Theodore.
