He was predeceased by: his parents, Cyril J Martin and Mary D Martin (Shepherd); his wife Nancy Briand; and his children, Catherine, Lynn and John.
He is survived by: his daughters, Nancy Fortune (Danny) and Mary Jane Martin (Kevin Leedham); his grandchildren, Mark, Timothy, Emily, Kelly, Kevin, Kacee, Michael, Charlene, Grace, Jordi and Olivia; and his siblings, Gerry (Carol), Bev Hiltz (Frank), Frank, Jim, Billy, Bob and Patsy (Della Freeborn). He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (771 Main St, Dartmouth, NS B2W3T9). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St Peters Church (7 Maple St, Dartmouth, NS B2Y2X2). A reception will be held on Friday, June 6th 2025 from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (771 Main St, Dartmouth, NS B2W3T9).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Mental Health Association or a charity of your choice.
