He was predeceased by: his parents, William Heffler and Mary Heffler (Hirtle); and his siblings, Paul and Colleen. He is survived by: his wife Ellen (McDonald); his children, Paul (Shirley), John (Karen), Colin, Bonnie (Gary), Yvonne (Rickie) and Mary Ellen (Earl); his grandchildren, Holly, Brittney, Hope, Camron, Seth, Julie, Haley, Jax, Payton, Ryder and Heath; his great grandchildren, Grayson and Emma Jane; and his siblings, Allan (Shirley), Kevin (Isabelle), Margaret (Laurie) and Rose (Ted).
Burial will be in Mount Hermon Cemetery In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
