He was predeceased by: his parents, William Francis Samson and Mary Flora "Florie" Samson; and his siblings, William "Bill" Francis Junior, Amelia Boudreau and Mary "Lucille" Babin.

He is survived by: his wife Clara "Maire" Samson; his daughter Heather Poirier; and his siblings, Hyacinthe, Rene, Alfred (Connie), Dolares, Therese, Claire (Wilfred) and Betty Anne (Cetus). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
