He was predeceased by: his parents, Richard Coady and Theresa Coady; his brother Kevin; and his father-in-law Patrick Devereaux. He is survived by: his significant other Catherine "Katie" Devereaux; his children, Shaun (Colleen) and Lisa Devereaux-Baker (Jason); his grandchildren, Ava, Nolan, Chase and Travis; his siblings, Dennis (Zena), Jimmy (late Debbie), Patricia Kearsey (Keith), David, Wayne (Judy), Gerry (Nadine) and Carl; and his friends, Ray, Dorothy Wincey, Wade White, Tony, Betty Samson, Kenny Byng, Barb and Johannes.
A celebration of Joe's life will be held at 10am on Thursday February 14th, in Atlantic Funeral Home 771 Main Street, Dartmouth, with a reception to follow In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada, Nova Scotia Chapter.
