It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Olive Riley (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), who passed away on March 1, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Joyce Olive Riley to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Deacon Edgar Gordon Reid and Deaconess Elizabeth J. Johnston (Grant); her husband Merlin; her children, Warren, Darrin and Joscelyn; and her siblings, Evelyn, Edith, Pearl, Alma and Vernon.
She is survived by: her children, Marcia (Christopher "Tony" Winters) and Alanna (Silvio Lapierre); and her sisters, Audrey Grosse and Carolyn Johnston. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, March 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (771 Main St, Dartmouth, NS B2W3T9). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, March 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Cherry Brook United Baptist Church (331 Cherry Brook Rd, Cherry Brook, NS B2Z1A6).
Donations in Joyce's memory may be made to the Cherry Brook United Baptist Church or Renal Dialysis Unit at the Dartmouth General Hospital.
