She was predeceased by: her parents, Nelson Carmichael and Katherine Carmichael (Garland); her parents-in-law, Shirley and Gordon; her brother Lawrence; and her brothers-in-law, Terrrance and Herbert.

She is survived by: her husband Gary; her pets, Jake and Jenny; her siblings, Patricia (Terrance), Kenene (John), Gordon (Cindy), Sandy, Linda (Randy) and Margie (Spike); her stepdaughters, Heather (Kelly) and Clara (Ian); her stepgrandchildren, Nakita Lachnit and Oscar; and her siblings-in-law, Cheryll (Bob), Joyce and James (Belva). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
