He was predeceased by: his parents, Ken Metherall and Kay Metherall (Flynn); his wife Phyllis "Yvonne" Metherall; and his siblings, Kathy Jean and Gary James Metherall.

He is survived by: his sister Karen Wood (Richard); his niece Jennifer; and his nephews, Jaymz, Matthew and Sean.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, June 3rd 2027 at 1:30 PM at the Clarenville.
