He was predeceased by: his parents, William Bennett and Alice Bennett (Ramsay); his wife Shirley Bennett (Horne); his brother James; and his brothers-in-law, George Grant and Fred Horne.
He is survived by: his sister Mary Grant; his sons, Laurie (Gail), Tim (Ingrid Pinette) of Dartmouth, Kevin of Halifax and Chris (Jacinda Wagner) of Calgary, AB; his grandchildren, Heather (Anthony Dolittle) of Liverpool, Holly of Dartmouth, Suzanne (Jordan Ruegg) of Edmonton and Raymond (Adrienne Allison) of Halifax; and his sisters-in-law, Muriel Kenney, Eunice Corkum, Mary Pettipas and Audrey Gourlie. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
As such a social person, he found the Covid restrictions hard.
