He was predeceased by: his father Stephen Wentzell; and his grandparents, Les Thistlethwaite, Jess Thistlethwaite, Ernest Wentzell, Nita Rushton, Lorna Wentzell and Angus Wentzell.

He is survived by: his cousin Mark; his parent Gail Wentzell (Thistlethwaite); his brother Evan Wentzell; and his grandparents, Irene Beeler, Phil Beeler, Sandra Worden, Thomas Worden, Linda Wood, Aubrey Wood, Aunts Lynn and Aunt Val. He is also survived by son, brother, grandson.

In lieu of flowers, donations are being accepted towards the cost of bringing Mark home to Nova Scotia to his final resting place, details can be given at the Funeral Home.
