It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Mary Gertrude (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), who passed away on November 13, 2025, at the age of 71, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Priscilla Marr and Gerald Marr; her husband Eugene Avery; her niece Denise Cashin; her aunt Venita; her uncle Johnny; her brother Jerome Marr; her brother-in-law Placid Avery; her children, Kipper, Sheba and Dakota; and her granddaughter Brooke.

She is survived by: her son Scott (Melinda); her siblings, Joseph, Donnie, Davie, Donna (Keith), Rose (Brian) and Elizabeth (Rollie); her siblings-in-law, Nita Cashin and Daniel Avery (Art Livingston); her pet Genie; and her close friends, Christopher Young and Timmy Tibbo.

Donations can be made to the SPCA in honour of Mary and a service will be held at a later date to be announced.
