She was predeceased by: her parents, Graydon Forsythe and Kathleen Forsythe (Carey); her husband Carl; her brother Owen; her stepson Wayne O'Brien; and her brother-in-law Edward Berrigan.

She is survived by: her children, Carla Purcell (Stephen) of Waverley and Michael (Sarah-Jane) of Maryland; her stepson Stewart O'Brien; her sister Eleanor Berrigan; her grandchildren, Nicholas, Kayleigh Purcell, Thomas, Theodore O'Brien, Allyson and Courtney O'Brien; and her close friend Gordon Mathie. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to current COVID-19 restrictions there will be a small graveside service for family and a celebration of life the way mom would want it at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, the Alzheimer's Society, or a charity of your choice.
