He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard and Laura (Gardner); his wife Joan Smith (Balcom); and his siblings, Annie, Pauline and Floyd.
He is survived by: his children, Allan (Barbara) of Welland, ON and Susan Pushie (Mark); his grandchildren, Jennifer (Matt), Josh (Alyssa) and Dylan; and his great grandchildren, Sophia and Mason. He is also survived by nieces and a nephew.
