He was predeceased by: his parents, Franklyn Young and Maude Young (Gaetz); his former wife Christina (Myatt); his daughter-in-law Mary; his siblings, Alfred, Gerald, Maurice, James, Richard, Robert, Arthur, Bruce, Edna, Joan and Glenna; his grandfather Bob (Justine); and also Paul.
He is survived by: his wife Marjorie (Anderson); his children, Christopher (Alicia) of West Petpeswick, NS and Angela (Paul) of Chester, NS; his stepdaughters, Leslie (Colin) of North York, ON, Sharon (Garry) of Scarborough, ON, Debbie (Kenny) of Cambridge, NS, Nancy, Mary and Jane; his grandchildren, Paul (Matt), Michael (Laura), Alex (Sydney), Tim (Abbie), Marshall (Meagan), Matthew, Jared (Emily), Katie (Phil), Sean (Julianna), Erik (Lauren), Stephen, Anna and Anthony; his great grandchildren, Daniel, Hailey, Olivia, Matilda, Russel, Perry, Romi, Hayes and Gracie; his brothers, Garth, Raymond (Carol) and Owen (Theresa); and his caregiver Laura. He is also survived by his brothers, cousins, children, and grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (771 Main St, Dartmouth, NS B2W3T9). A reception will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Murray to the Dartmouth General Hospital Foundation, Canadian Cancer Society, or charity of your choice.
