He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Raymond and Marie Alma Bowlby (Bourque); his sister Linda (Chris Howell); and his brothers-in-law, Jim Crawford and Jim Symons.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Anne McCarthy; his children, Patti, Terri (Dartmouth) and Robert (Vancouver); his granddaughter Ann-Marie Bowlby; his great grandchildren, Jacklynn, Amelia and Addison; his sisters, Margaret and Nancy Bowlby (Dartmouth); his sisters-in-law, Beverley and Mycki Symons; and his siblings' children, Mike Howell (Carolyn), Tom Howell (Angie), David Pace (Jennifer), James Pace (Rory) and Susan Howell (BJ Dixon).
Visitation was held on Wednesday, February 25th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Eastern Passage Community Funeral Home (5 Cow Bay Rd, Eastern Passage, NS B3G1M5). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 26th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the St. Clement's Church (16 Gaston Rd, Dartmouth, NS B2Y3W1).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dartmouth General Hospital or the Lung Association of Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island.
