He was predeceased by: his father Ernest Boutilier; his sister Janice; his aunts and uncles, Phyllis, Joan Hunt (Percy), Connie Young (Mick), Dan MacKay (Doreen), Jimmy MacKay and Frank Seward; his cousins, Francis Seward, Dennis MacKay, Shirley Hunt and Kimberley Cromwell; and his grandparents, Catherine, Ernest Boutilier, Christine and Archie MacKay.

He is survived by: his mother Adine Boutilier; his sister Christine (Barry Camp); his great-niece Claire; his stepsons, Brennan and Jordan Char; his aunt Christina "Myrna" Seward (Sydney); and his uncle Jack MacKay (Nancy).

Visitation will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (771 Main St, Dartmouth, NS B2W3T9). A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the same location. A reception will be held on Friday, May 29th 2026 from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
