She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbert Tom and Mabel Tom (Swain). She is survived by: her husband James Thompson Coady (Jim); her children, Lynn (Robert Appleford) of Kentville, James (Catherine), Kincardine of Ontario, Britt of Kentville and Clint of Dartmouth; her grandsons, Christopher, Kevin and Jack; and her siblings, Margaret Parsons (Ross Tom) of Halifax and Bill Tom (Laverne) of Thunder Bay. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Donations in memory of Phyllis may be made to St. Joseph's Parish Cemetery Fund in South West Margaree, Nova Scotia.
