She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilfred Brooks and Jeanette Brooks (Colley); and her son Lindon Brooks. She is survived by: her son Christopher (Dartmouth); her grandchildren, Jaelynn (Ontario), Treona and Liriah; her siblings, Mark (Claudette), Wade, Rosemary (Richard) of Ontario, Karen (Dartmouth), Jocelyn (Bill), Ruby East Preston (Alden), Germaine (Joe), Sylvia Dartmouth (Ben), Desirée Dartmouth (Dwayne) and Angie East Preston (Terrance); and also Janette Brooks (East Preston). She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Donations in Ramona's memory can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Nova Scotia.
