He is survived by: his parents, Najib Hyar and Sayde Hyar; his wife Micheline; his children, Rayan, Ray and Roy; and his siblings, Rema (Camille), Joseph (Liliane), Rola (Louis) of Halifax, Abboudi, Lody (Ibrahim), Johnny (Dominique) and Lara (Pascal) of Lebanon.

Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (771 Main St, Dartmouth, NS B2W3T9). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 4th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Our Lady of Lebanon Church (111 Clayton Park Dr, Halifax, NS B3M1M3).
