He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Chaisson and Isabelle Chaisson (Adams); his sons, Wayne, Jeffrey Chaisson and Doug Fraser; and his brothers, Edward, Donald, David, Douglas, Wilbert and George.
He is survived by: his wife Louise (Lucas); his children, James (Marilyn), AnnMarie (Perry) of Dartmouth, Gary and Judy of Calgary; and his sister Mona Freckelton. He is also survived by six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
