He was predeceased by: his brother Dennis; and his parents, Calvin Pearl and Hilda Pearl. He is survived by: his wife Majelline Bowes; his children, Kelly Pickett (David) and James Bowes (Cherie); his grandchildren, Carter Pickett, Lydia Pickett, Leanna Bowes and Gabrielle Bowes; his siblings, Calvin (Florence), Walter (Pat), Charlene Bouchard (Scott) and Joann; and his sister-in-law Sandra Bowes Webber. He is also survived by his family, friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia.
