He is survived by: his wife Kathryn Leeanne Peters (MacDougall); his daughters, Amy Elizabeth Peters and Robyn Leeanne Peters; his stepbrother Paul McKeown (Anne); and his stepmother Diane Peters. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
