He is survived by: his wife Cherryl; his children, Chris (Rachel) and Taylor (Michael); his father Rybert Oake; his stepmother Beverley; and his brothers, John Oake (Kim) of Lewisporte, NL, Jim Oake (Gaea) of Toronto, Randy Oake of Toronto and Rodney Oake (Bonnie) of Lr. He is also survived by nieces, a nephew and other extended family.

In leu of flowers, donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in his name.
