He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Sr. Simmonds and Mary Simmonds (Beals); his former wife Vonita Simmonds (Howe); his siblings, Beverley, Clemmie Sr. and Paulette (King Edward); and his stepson Tyler.
He is survived by: his wife Brenda Marie Simmonds (Smith); his children, Blair (Jody), Anton (Monica), Roger Jr. (Carla), Cole Harbour, Ryan (Melissa), Tommy (Paulette), Richard (Tina), Leona, Lorraine, Betty, Charmaine (Dominik), Jill (Anthony), Alisha (Jamal) and Ottawa; his godson Roger A. Simmonds; and his siblings, Rosaline (Tony), Daisy (Michael), Theresa, Creanie (Bruce), Susan, Lorraine, Walter (Viola), Philip, Harvey Jr. (Vivian), Leonard, Sinclair and Christopher (Debbie). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Johnny's name to The Canadian Cancer Society or to the Word in Action Ministries Church.
