He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Kennedy and Marjorie Shea. He is survived by: his wife Marian Stauch-Kennedy; his children, Bhreagh (Kyle Phipps), Caleigh and Meghan; his grandson Ethan Phipps; his siblings, Lydia Rockwell, Sharlene Krupp (Armin), Jacky Lanthier (Reg), Margie, Judy and David (Linda); and his brothers-in-law, Kevin Stauch and Paul Stauch. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron's name to Nova Scotia Down Syndrome Society or Baby's Breath Canada.
