Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Roy Ernest Gilroy (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), born in Springhill, Nova Scotia, who passed away at the age of 94, on September 3, 2022. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Gilroy and Louise Gilroy; his wife Shirley (Daniels); and his siblings, Lawrence, Donald, Carvel and Doris.
He is survived by: his children, Annette Dartmouth (Bill), Richard Tatamagouche (Donna), Michael Greenfield (Pamela) and Daniel Wainwright (Kelly) of Alberta.
A memorial service will be held at Stairs Memorial United Church, Hester Street, Dartmouth on September 10, 2022 at 2:00 p. m. Because of Covid, there was no service for Shirley, so there will be a joint service for both Roy and Shirley with Rev. Catherine MacDonald officiating.
