He is survived by: his children, Daphne Reynolds (Lois), Cindy Kays (Dan), Aubrey (Sue) and Kathy Morris (Arthur); his grandchildren, Christopher, Aaron, Tristan, Olivia and Nathan; his great grandchildren, Kingston and Nova; and his siblings, Joyce Borden, Maxine Gushue, Gordon of Newfoundland and George of Newfoundland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Dartmouth General Hospital in Rupert's name.
