She was predeceased by: her parents, James Pike and Mary Pike; her former husband David Wood; her husband Floyd Smith; her brothers, Jim and Don; her siblings-in-law, Hazel, Jim Wood and Jack Brown; her sister Margaret Alice; and her son-in-law Trevor Ronahan.
She is survived by: her daughters, Maggie Chapman (Kevin), Natalie Wood and Sarah Ronahan; her stepchildren, Dorinda Alderman (Ross) and David Smith; her grandchildren, Katie Doiron (Alex), Becky Chapman, Leanne McLaughlin (Izaak), Ashley Pimentel, Chris Pimentel, Carly Ronahan (Duncan Forbes), Taylor Ronahan, Kaitlyn Alderman and Jennifer Alderman (Justin Lewis); and her sisters-in-law, Joan Brown, Joan Wood and Jane Pike. She is also survived by step daughter and son as well as 2 grandchildren to her family, many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 16th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Cole Harbour Woodside United Church (15 Bissett Rd, Cole Harbour, NS B2V2T1).
