She was predeceased by: her father Charles Frew; her former husband Robert Matthews; her close friend Doris Brandenberger; her daughter-in-law Rose Matthews (Hughes); and her brothers-in-law, Fred Bradbrook and Gerry Burrows.

She is survived by: her children, Paul (Cheryl) and Bonni Matthews-Hawboldt (Tom); her sisters, Kay Bradbrook (Peter Coady) and Betty Burrows (Gerry); her grandchildren, Edward Matthews, Desiree Theriault (Gilles), Jeffrey Hawboldt (Annik Ethier) and Kimberly Viau (Marc); her great grandchild Sierra Hastings; her grandchildren, Isabella Matthews, Augustina Hawboldt and Eva Viau; and her great great grandchild Charlee Rose Hastings. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Food Bank or Bide Awhile animal shelter or St. Martha's Regional Hospital.
