With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Evelyn Hawkins (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, who passed away on June 28, 2021 at the age of 89. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Shirley Evelyn Hawkins to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Doucette and Carolina Doucette (Boutilier); her husband Gordon Hawkins; her son Herbert Hawkins; her son-in-law Robert Hebb; and her great grandchild Angalisa Hawkins-Evans.

She is survived by: her children, Gary Hawkins (Kathleen) of Dartmouth, Cheryll Hebb of Berwick, Joyce Hawkins of Cole Harbour and Jim Hawkins (Belva) of East Petpeswick; her grandchildren, Jeanette, Gordie, Paul, Kari, Michael, Joey, Heather, Clara, Jason and Jimmy; and her sister Joyce Ross of Lower Sackville. She is also survived by 14 Great Grandchildren.

A private family "Celebration of Life" will be held, in lieu of a service due to Covid-19 restrictions.
