He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles George and Agnes George (Cullen); and his siblings, Henry "Harry", Robert "Bob", Alfred "Alfie", John "Jack", Charles "Pete", Mary, Frances "Fanny", Helen and Lillian.

He is survived by: his wife Helen (Craig); his children, Craig George (Debbie), Patricia Sears (Scott), Perry George (Paula) and Christopher George; his siblings, Margo Ritchie and Frederick "Fred" George of Dartmouth; his grandchildren, Melissa (Rob), Joshua (Jessica), Nicholas (Carleigh), Gregory, Bradley, Katie and Jessica; and his great grandchildren, Chase, Cassie, Naiia and Henry. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Due to Covid restrictions, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia or the charity of your choice.
