The memory of Sylvia Gloria Dort (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), who passed away on February 21, 2025 at the age of 84, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyril Shortt and Nellie Shortt (Penny); her brothers, Ross Shortt and Jimmy; and her brothers-in-law, Hugh Suddard and John Young.
She is survived by: her children, Chris (Allayne), Colleen (Rob) and Stephen (Sharon); her grandchildren, Matthew, Michael Hazel, Kathleen Dort and Joshua Dort; her sisters, Helen Young (Ottawa) and Joyce Suddard; and her friends, Carolyn and Peter. She is also survived by four great grandchildren.
A celebration of life was held on Tuesday, March 4th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (771 Main St, Dartmouth, NS B2W3T9).
In lieu of flowers donations can be made, in Sylvia's memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation.
