He was predeceased by: his parent William Clarke; his stepson Scott; and his brothers, Jim and Harry. He is survived by: his parent Lola Clarke; his significant other Rebecca Hanlon; his stepdaughter Debbie Hanlon-Couture (Claude); his grandchildren, Rebecca (Ehren), Micheal, Sophie, Chantal (Bruno) and Jessica (Mathieu); and his siblings, Don, Wayne, Lola, Doreen and Judy.

Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
