She was predeceased by: her parents, William E. MacRoberts and Emily M. (Bonang); her husband Cyril St. Clair Brophy; her former husband Douglas Atkinson; her close friend John Hart; her sons, George Brophy, Cyril Brophy and John Brophy; and her siblings, Mary Hanaman, Olive Hill, Geraldine Kirsk, Eva Galley, Virginia Lawther, Bernard, Charlie, Donald and Thomas.

She is survived by: her children, Evonne Young (late Richard) of Cumberland Co, Linda Hartson (late Basil) of Dartmouth, Cynthia Hillier of Dartmouth, Annie Clark (late Douglas) of Cumberland Co, William Brophy of Vancouver and Vincent Atkinson (Anne) of Dartmouth; and her siblings, Louella Hart of Dartmouth and Freddie of Lawrencetown. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.
