She was predeceased by: her parents, William B. Emberly and Jeanette Emberly (MacNeil); her brother James Bartlett Emberly (Clem) of Dartmouth, NS; her siblings-in-law, Joseph Bonner (Marie) of Saint John, NB, Murray (Gerri), Jules Halwyn (Gerri) of Chatham, ON, Heather Emberly (Ken) of Kirkfield, ON and Helen (Bill); and her great-nephew Brandon Emberly of Drayton Valley, AB..
She is survived by: her siblings, Gerri Douez (John), Marie Totten (Henry) of Saint John, NB, Peggy Foote (Ken) of Halifax, NS, Jeanette Hung (Orlando) of Halifax, NS, Elizabeth Catherine Emberly of Halifax, NS, Bill Emberly of Winnipeg, MB and Ken Emberly of Kirkfield, ON; her sister-in-law Clem Emberly of Dartmouth, NS; her former husband Danny Banfield; and her stepdaughters, Basia and Gabi Sowinski-Banfield of Halifax, NS. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family and life-long friends.
There may be some online celebrations by friends, but due to Covid restrictions, and out of an abundance of caution, the family has decided that an in person celebration of life will be organized at a future date.
Theresa would have loved to know that your donation, in lieu of flowers, went to either Breast Cancer or Alzheimer's research, Hope for Wildlife, or the Avalon Sexual Assault Centre.
