He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Rideout and Bethena Rideout (Buffett); his wife Dorothy; and his sister Eileen Withers. He is survived by: his daughters, Heather Rideout and Nancy Rideout; and his sisters, Betty Cummings, Marjorie Armitage, Agnes Comeau and Katherine Haak. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of Canada, the Alzheimer Society of Nova Scotia, or Hospice Halifax.
