Tyson Lew Royce Beals Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our loving son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, friend and fiancé, Tyson Beals of Dartmouth, who went home peacefully with the Lord on July 31st, 2021. Born in Halifax on February 28th, 1972, Tyson was 49 years old. He was the oldest child and is survived by his mother Joanne Beals and stepfather David Martell. Tyson is also survived by his fiancé Yvette, daughters: LaQuesha, Goldie and Chanaya; sons: Samando and Tyson Jr.; stepsons: Jaylin, Keenan and Cailob. Tyson is also survived by his father Lewis Cain and stepmother Jessie Cain; Sisters: Contessa (Ronald), Cyetia (Wayne), Amanda, Martine, Dana and Minda. Brothers: Treymayne (Angela), Lewis Jr, Corey (Loretta), Omar (Shannon), Troy. Tyson had 7 grandchildren and a very special grand baby on the way. Godchildren: Lakeisha Clayton, Kendall Saunders, Morina Provo, Loyal Mackin; several step sisters and nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was predeceased by maternal grandparents the late Mr. and Mrs. Graham Whynder and the late Mr. and Mrs. Cyril Fraser Sr., paternal grandparents Mr. and Mrs. James Cain. Great grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Beals Sr. Tyson had two special moms; Donna Whynder and Crenie Burton. Godparents Ella Whynder, First lady Frances Smith and the late Rosina Beals and a special aunty Colette who always called him "Noon", and four special big brothers: Louis, Graham, Charles and Daniel. Special friends Jigalow Cruisers Mooses, Halifax and Dartmouth crew. Tyson attended QEH High School where he won several MVP awards and Championships and had the opportunity to play basketball with Scottie Pippen and Dee Brown. Along with being an avid basketball player (he was the 'Michael Jordan' to the community he lived in, he was our legend), Tyson adored his vehicles and loved spending his alone time parked in his car listening to his music. Tyson was employed with Aabel Fuels for 21 years and he loved the Aabel family as if they were his own. He was a very proud employee to his second family, and they admired him. He was always the people's choice when it came to delivering oil. To know Tyson was to love him. He was a very humble guy and a friend to all who he encountered. There will be a viewing on Wednesday August 11th from 6pm-9pm at Atlantic Funeral Home in Dartmouth and a celebration of life on Thursday August 12th at 1pm, at St. Thomas Baptist Church in North Preston.
