He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas and Susie; his brother Kevin; and his nephew Wilson Colbourne. He is survived by: his grandchildren, Gabriel Mifflen, Meredith Penney, Leyla Penney and Ela Penney; his wife Linda; his children, Vanessa, Jonathon (Suna) and Jordan (Jessica); and his siblings, Violet Colbourne (Gary) and Gordon. He is also survived by grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
