It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Scott Marcus (Dartmouth, Nova Scotia), born in Winnipeg, Manitoba, who passed away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though William may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He was predeceased by: his daughter Jill Marcus-Mathie; his brothers, Robyn and Jimmy Marcus; and his parents, William Marcus and Haroldine Marcus.
He is survived by: his wife Beverly Ann Bourret; his daughter Jana Marcus-Randall (Gary); and his grandchildren, Jillian Oldreive (Seth) and Marcus Oldreive (Emily).
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Atlantic Funeral Home (771 Main St, Dartmouth, NS B2W3T9).
