He was predeceased by : his parents, Bernard Sr. Amero and Sadie Amero (Gavel); his son Michael; and his siblings, Shirley, Donna, Gary and Johnny.

He is survived by : his wife Violet; his granddaughters, Tanya (Stacey) and Amanda (Troy); his great grandchildren, Cheyenne, Michaela, Tori, Ethan and Jayden; his great great grandchildren, Asher, Avery, Daxton and Kade; and his siblings, Keith (Roseleta), Nevins (Gladys), Howard (Debbie), Vickie, Tommy (Vanessa), Ernie, Richard, Toby, Linda, Thelma (John) and Heather. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Southville Church of Christ (807 Langford Rd, Weymouth, NS B0W3T0). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at the Southville Cemetery.
