David Starrs Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of David Starrs of Digby, Nova Scotia, who passed away on January 3, 2023 at the age of 56. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father Tom Starrs; his wife Ruby Daley; and his grandparents, Emile, Eva Vaugeois (LeBlanc), David and Eva Starrs (Thwaites).

He is survived by : his mother Delores Starrs (Vaugeois); his sister Bernadette; his uncle Charles Vaugeois; his aunts, Lorraine Vaugeois, Alice, Pat and Eva; his family, Candina Doucette and Morgan Hempen; his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jesse, Savannah, Jacob and Blake; and his family, Devin, Dustin, Julian, Suzette, Wanda, Sean, Darryl and Maxie.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the local animal shelter, heart and stroke or to a charity of choice.

William MacLellan wrote a sympathy message

“I was very saddened to read of Dave's passing today. I met Dave through his beloved Ruby, as I had worked with her. I was honored to have been the soloist at their Wedding. It was such a great day, and I will always remember how happy they both were that day. Although I didn't get to know him that well, I knew he was a good guy. Ruby adored him. May he rest in peace, along with his beloved Ruby and their well-loved and cared-for pets.”
