Douglas James Francis Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas James Francis (Digby, Nova Scotia), born in Smiths Cove, Nova Scotia, who passed away on April 10, 2022, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his father Thomas Francis; his daughter Susan; his former life partner Inge; and his siblings, Bill, John, Nathan, Gordon, Thomas, Ellsworth, Garnet, Ida, Nina, Dorothy, Marjorie and Elizabeth.

He is survived by : his son Stephen; his stepsons, Ron and Scott Boal; his siblings, Catherine and Jon Oickle; and his sister-in-law Aggie Ross. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

No flowers, please, but a gift in his memory may be given to the Digby & Area Lions Club towards the purchase of a guide dog for an autistic child.
