She was predeceased by: her parents, Leroy Wagner and Lizzie Belle Wagner (Mullen); her husband Raymond Percy Thurber; her siblings, Stewart, Stanley, Nevins, Kenneth, Darrell, Erma Kaminski, Hilda Morehouse, Melba Morehouse, Althea Saunders and Carol Hall; and her daughter-in-law Marjorie.
She is survived by: her children, James (Valda), Chris (Phyllis), Randy (Barbara), Jeff (Barbara), Derek (Crissy) and Angela; her grandchildren, Cory, Ian, Jillian Orde (Darin), Carolyn Deware (Mitchell) and Michael (Keri); her stepgrandchildren, Jamie, Mitchell Swift, Jeremy, Josh Watson and Kara McLaughlin; her great grandchildren, Peyton, Kash Gillis, Emma, Ryan Deware, Samuel and Lucas Thurber; her sisters, Vivian Cossaboom and Myrtle Theriault; and her sister-in-law Eileen Wagner. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces.
A funeral service was held on Wednesday, April 29th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Digby Baptist Church (2 Mount St, Digby, NS B0V1A0). A burial was held on Thursday, April 30th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the Brookside Cemetery.
