Stella Christene Capstick Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Stella Christene Capstick in Dingwall, Nova Scotia, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 14, 2025 at the age of 101. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Alex J. Capstick; her parents, Alex Wilkie and Christine Wilkie; her daughters, Hazel Hansen and Krisha Capstick; her grandsons, Robert Hansen and Scott Burton; her siblings, Mildren Gwynn, Gifford and Harold Wilkie; and her son-in-law Cryril Burton.
She is survived by: her children, Linda Burton, Gary (Nancy) of Worcester, MA and Gregg (Anne Marie); her grandchildren, Richard Burton, David Hansen, Jason Capstick (Erin), Ryan Capstick (Danielle) and Sarah Capstick; her great grandchildren, Brent Wagner, Taylor Hardy (Haley), Alec Capstick (Meagan) and Ashton Capstick; her great great grandchild Ellie Rose Hardy; and her sisters, Carol MacInnis and Sandra Dowling. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the St. Joseph Church (430 Dingwall Rd, Dingwall, NS B0C1G0). A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, September 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory can be made to the Aspy Bay Cemetery or St. Joseph Cemetery, Dingwall.
