He was predeceased by: his parents, Moise Poirier and Katie Mae Poirier (Catherine Deveau); and his siblings, Paul Poirier, Veronica Colburn, Margaret Finn and Mary Ann White.
He is survived by: his wife Theresa (Deveaux); his children, Mary (Kent) of Donkin, Charlie (Shirley) of New Waterford, Joseph (Tena) of Lower Sackville, Moise (Sharon) of Sydney and John-Paul of New Victoria; his sister Anne Poirier of Inverness; and his granddaughters, Katie, Faustina and Ceileigh. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
